Purdue Excellence in Research Administration (PERA), has been established to streamline the research grant application process for all Purdue faculty. Through the Office of Research, PERA is implementing a new suite of software to modernize research-related business processes and technologies.
PERA is Purdue’s name for the Huron Research Suite, a next generation system that automates many processes required to apply for research grants, managing research funding, and applying to regulatory committees such as those responsible for the oversight of research with human subjects, vertebrate animals or biohazards and compliance practices.
In April 2023, the Purdue Board of Trustees approved a multi-million-dollar investment for this innovative electronic research administration system that will serve all Purdue campuses and affiliated organizations such as Purdue Applied Research Institute (PARI), Purdue Global, and Purdue International Incorporated.
