How to Deactivate a Protocol

There are two administrative protocol actions that can be taken to suspend or close an active protocol.

The first is SUSPEND. This can be done if a temporary suspension is needed for compliance reasons. Once suspended, the activity will change to “Lift Suspension

The section action is to Close Protocol. This will close the protocol as well as discard any follow-on submissions. Once closed, a protocol cannot be activated again, but it can be copied.
